Valle dell'Opol
The valley combines sport climbing, wooded approaches, lake views, and local stewardship in one of Lombardy's distinctive outdoor landscapes.
Valle dell'Opol is a small gem set between the rocky slopes of Marone, overlooking Lake Iseo, and the wooded hillsides that rise toward Monte Guglielmo.
The valley is known for its pale limestone crags, where sport climbers can find routes for every level, from beginners to more experienced climbers.
Madonna della Rota, reached by a short walk, is the symbolic heart of the valley. From here, trails lead to refuges, viewpoints and legendary summits such as Punta Almana and Monte Guglielmo.

Parking is available along the road, but spaces are limited and there is no single parking area. Please park neatly and compactly, leaving enough space for other cars to drive safely up and down the valley. Do not block access roads, gates, or private property.
All trails are marked at the start with a signpost and are generally easy to follow through the woodland. Good approach shoes are still recommended, as some paths can be steep, uneven, and slippery.
Responsible access
Avoid nesting areas during sensitive periods, especially with protected species.
Some sectors may have maintenance or environmental restrictions.
Always pack out your own waste. If you notice litter left by others, take a moment to collect it. Even removing a single cigarette butt or plastic wrapper helps leave Valle dell'Opol in better condition than you found it.
Stay to marked approach trails to prevent soil erosion.
